Both devices display an emoji sequence derived from the DTLS certificate fingerprints used in their WebRTC connection. Comparing the sequences through a trusted channel helps users detect a possible man-in-the-middle attack. The comparison does not indicate whether the connection is direct or uses a relay.
Step 4: Send text from your phone
Tap the text field in the QuickBridge tab on your phone and type or paste what you want to send: a link, a 2FA code, a password, an address. Tap Send. It appears on your PC immediately.
Step 5: Enable auto-clipboard for continuous sync (optional)
Toggle the auto-clipboard switch in the session. QuickBridge checks your phone clipboard every 1.5 seconds while the tab is in the foreground. Anything you copy shows up on the PC side with a one-tap confirmation before it sends.

How is this different from iCloud Handoff or Microsoft Phone Link?
iCloud Handoff only works between Apple devices. Microsoft Phone Link requires an Android phone paired to a Windows PC and a Microsoft account. Yes. The session is bidirectional. You can type or paste text in the QuickBridge tab on your PC and send it to your phone, or drag a file in the other direction. Both sides can send and receive in the same session.
What kinds of content can I send?
Plain text, URLs, 2FA codes, addresses, notes, anything that fits in a text field. You can also send files (up to 512 MB in memory on desktop, 300 MB on iOS Safari, 500 MB on Android, or up to 10 GB with PC auto-save) and images in the same session. The text field and the file drop zone are both always available.
Is the text I send stored anywhere?
No. Text travels over an encrypted WebRTC data channel directly between devices (or via an encrypted TURN relay if firewalls require it). QuickBridge does not use cloud storage, and clipboard text is not stored on QuickBridge servers.
Will it keep working if I switch apps on my phone?
Auto-clipboard requires the QuickBridge tab to be active and in the foreground on your phone, because the Clipboard API requires user focus. If you switch apps, monitoring pauses and resumes when you return to the tab. Manual text sending works any time the tab is open.
